亦宛然掌中劇團

亦宛然掌中劇團於1931年由國寶級布袋戲大師李天祿所成立，取其「宛然若真」之意，斯許自己掌中的戲偶能如真人般動作。李天祿藝師因其自身對京劇的喜愛，而把京劇的諸多元素融入到他的布袋戲演出中，戲界因此而稱＜亦宛然＞為外江派。

在前後二任團長李天祿、李傳燦的帶領之下，＜亦宛然＞堅持傳統的前後場演出型式，並成為台灣最具代表性的演藝團隊之一。而除了在演出部份力求精進之外，＜亦宛然＞更是開風氣之先進入校園進行布袋戲薪傳紮根工作，另曾多次代表台灣赴外推廣台灣文化。＜亦宛然＞現由李蔡素貞團長（李傳燦團長遺孀）帶領第四代弟子，期在前人打造的深厚基礎上再行延續與創新。

I Wan Jan Puppet Troupe

I Wan Jan Puppet Troupe was established in 1931 by founder, Li Tien-lu. The name "I Wan Jan" (meaning "just as real" in Mandarin) was adopted beacuse founder Li Tien-lu wanted the public know that the hand puppets can be just as real as humans. Li Tien-lu's performance incorporates rich Beijing Opera elements, and presens hand peuupets vivdly on stage.

At the end of 1971, "I Wan Jan" began to perform around the world on inviation, with tracks extending over Eurpe, Asia, America and Africa. They successively propagated Taiwan's traditional hand puppet art and became an internationally renowned performance troupe.

After founder Li Tien-lu passed away in 1998, his second son, Li Chuang-tsain succeeded as the curator. On top of continuing his father’s unfinished legacy pieces, he also focused on preserving and developing innovating works. After Li Chuang-tsain passed away in 2009, his wife, Li-Tsai Su-Chen, took on the baton and led the fourth generation of young students to continue to make progress in promoting hand puppet art.
